I am attempting to display a colorized splash of NE Patriots Fandom I printed the translucent disc to the size of an outdoor lamp we have. I will attempt to paint the "background" in black and the "Flying Elvis" in Red and Blue. This will be set in front of a lamp to be displayed on our barn. Note: the Patriots logo is the actual svg file downloadable from Wikimedia. (Pretty cool) If this is actually able to be displayed, I will also display the text (in a smaller font) citing the source.123D AutoCAD, sketched a simple circle and added Text. I then found the logo on Wikimedia and was able to download and import the svg file. (all parties will be accredited and is ONLY for personal use) saved, exported as stl. opened makerbot app, added the stl, moved to platform and printed. 1st attempt directly on glass. (unheated, cleaned isopropyl but no hairspray or pva) First layer stuck just fine, second layer constricted and pulled first layer upwards (warped it) Printed using PLA as .3mm on 5th gen Makerbot with blue painter tape. Standard temp and speed. No Rafts or Supports.
