I needed a way to connect RotoScan's cable chain to my ShapeOko. These brackets clip onto the X and Y steppers to provide a simple connection point for the cable chain.Print 1 "bracket 1" for each Y stepper motor. Print 1 "bracket 2" for the X stepper. Laser cut the X cable chain/belt end brackets. Attach the X cable chain/belt brackets to the ends of the X extrusions outside the motor plates. Route the Z stepper and X stepper wires through the X Cable chain over to the Y stepper. Route X, Y, and Z cables down the Y cable chain. If you have the dual Y steppers, run the second Y stepper cables down the second Y cable chain. NOTE: The OpenSCAD files are very rough and require a STL of RotoScan's end bracket. Open CableChainEnds.STL in netfabb or meshlab and remove all parts but the end piece you need. Export that as a new STL and use it in OpenSCAD if you need to change the brackets.
