I created this thing to simplify mounting an e3d hotend to my ord hadron. Rather than drill holes and inevitably get the placement wrong, I decided to integrate the x carriage with the hotend mount. This configuration ensures perfect perpendicular alignment of the hotend to the X extrusion. I recommend that anyone printing this should go ahead and splurge on new eccentric spacers (the spacers with the extended boss) - the extended boss is thick enough to go all he way through the plastic carriage (specifically designed for this type of carriage): https://www.inventables.com/technologies/eccentric-spacer Added v5 versions (single and dual) with mount hole spacing to match this new GT2 belt clamp thing: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:184634/#files Added v3 versions (single and dual hotend) with a surface for mounting an LED strip at the bottom (see pics) Added version 4 dual extruder files - minor adjustment in spacing between hotends to allow for "beefier" fan shrouds and more space for cable mounting. I've just orded my second bowden-based e3d hotend, so I've yet to test the dual hotend configuration. updated - added a second (v2) dual hotend configuration that should bring both hot ends as close as possible together. updated -added a third (v3) dual hotend configuration that includes extensive reinforcement and removal of pre-defined holes (drill your own). Also added (v3) single hotend with reinforcement and "drill your own" harness mount points. I borrowed directly from: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:128109 http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:148536 http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9742 http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:128900Drill out bolt holes connecting the collar pieces to the main plate so that you drill back beyond the nut trap, into the rectangular block. The bolt hole does not extend far enough and this was created by combining objects, so the rectangular block does not have the bolt hole extended. You will need the following for the mount collar, per hotend: 2 M3 x 30'ish bolts 2 M3 jam nuts One collar print per hotend, the single or the dual collar. To use the .scad files, you'll need to update the import() statement to reference a copy of the following: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:128109 for Version 5 carriages, use version 4 collar.
