In the spirit of mrice's singe piece Y-ends the design intent for this Y-Carriage was to reduce part count and remove any set-up errors / fiddling you get with the "separate bearing holders and belt holder" designs: give a precise mounting for four linear bearings, keeping them parallel. integrate a belt lands / clamps in the right place for mrices single piece y ends http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:132739. Integrate a cable land / securing point for the heat bed cables. Various edges are chamfered to avoid any sharp edges / abrasion. 2015-04-06 Added the simple plate to mount a standard 200mm PCB heat bed to the carriage. I haven't made/tried this yet. This is the largest part I've printed so far, and with a small skirt, it just fits my 200 mm wide print bed. If like me you don't have auto-bed-leveling (yet!), spend some time ensuring your bed is really level, your z height is calibrated. I printed this in PLA @ 190C, with 50C bed. 50% fill. I used a (large) smear of Pritt Stick to help adhesion. I had no warping. Also included is a belt clamp for T2.5 belt. The belt teeth face away from the part, so just change the clamp to accommodate a different belt. I find small parts i print better at low speed.
