An X Carriage adapter for the Bulldog XL and Prusa i3 (Aurora design). It is specially designed so that the E3D fan shroud can still fit in the upright position. NOTE: I mirrored the Bulldog XL by following a YouTube tutorial. The servo I'm using is the TGY-1440A. (sub-micro servo) http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__7475__Turnigy_1440A_Servo_4_4g_0_8kg_10sec_V2_.html If you don't want to use a servo for the Z probe I have also attached an alternative which utilizes a rubber band snap mechanism. The idea was given to me by a mate. http://www.thingiverse.com/Aistaca/about The switch is a DM3 micro switch from Jaycar. http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=SM1036 Tolerances have already been accounted for so that the Bulldog XL can sit nicely in the mounting grove. Most of the screws used are M3 x 15mm. Optional active cooling. No supports needed!! This actually increased my printer speed by 1,200%. NOTE: the stepper cooling fan that can be seen in some of the images can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:35436Print in ABS. No supports needed!! You will need: M3x 15 screws Cable ties (if you add either Z Probe module) Since the upper layers of the probe arm (servo version) are very small it is recommended that you print it with other parts of equal or greater height. Short of this, you can print the version with height assistant which will force you printer to move away for a short time every layer. The snap mechanism version should be ok (unless your printer is insanely fast).
