UPDATE Fixed one of the two parts. As originally rendered, the ratchet arms would not have the room to bend out of the way without hitting the spokes. Please download the fixed STL and the re-download the code if desired. UPDATEThis is a replacement part to enhance the parent item, the test jig from Clockathon #2.It replaces the intermediate gear between the hour and minute gear with a two-part, ratcheting drum version of the same gear.Print both parts, mount on same bearings used for the gear these replace, and install in the clock in lieu of. Note that the overall thickness of the clock will increase with this modification installed. This is a prototype, so don't be shy about providing feedback, particularly about stuff that doesn't work or needs improvement!Code-wise, for the moment you can only request a ratcheting drum on the first or second gears. I'd rather get all the bugs out before I generalize the method. Oh, and before you ask... Yes, the ratchet will allow counter-clockwise rotation of the drum to rewind the clock on the first gear, and allow clockwise rotation on the second gear... I almost hit the publish button before realizing I needed to add that little feature. :-)
