This is a mount for a Sony MP3 player. It attaches with an expandable mount that fits into the power port.1.) Get sick of your weirdly shaped Sony MP3 player that has no mount or clip, and has buttons that turn it on and waste the battery if you brush them with the slightest touch. (yet you have to push and hole the power button for 3 seconds to turn it off - ???) 2.) Want to mount your MP3 player in your car 3.) Print out parts, one cradle and one expanding mount 4.) Remove excess material at the base (was required on my old TOM to get a decent print), I clip off the excess, and file to smooth it out. 5.) I used my lathe to make the wedge that expands the mount 6.) I cut a piece of .06" wire to prevent the wedge from rotating when tightening the screw 7.) Assemble as shown in the STP file and the video 8.) Clean the extra console part from the basement before taking pictures (ewww....) 9.) Design a even cooler mounting feature instead of the included expanding mount that clamps onto a charger for this thing...
