Tanjong Pagar Railway Station was opened on the 2nd of May 1932. It served as the main train station for visitors arriving in Singapore and travellers to Malaysia. Many Singaporeans and Malaysians have very fond memories of travelling on trains and also of the train station located in the heart of Singapore's Central Business District. The station was closed and the land was handed over to the Singapore Government in July 2011. This model was made by BuiltinSG in conjunction with Singapore's 50th National Day Celebrations, SG50.
