So after one of my attempts to decant some filament from a large roll from 3Dprintergear.com onto a smaller roll failed miserably (see photo), I decided it was time to make a new spool holder. Note: It's probably better if you print this on a high infill so the part is less likely to break Its fairly simple, the part "printer attachment " clips onto the back of the printer. This then attaches to a section of 75mm long Aluminium tubing with a 16mm OD and 14mm ID. And then the part "End Cap" Fits onto the end. My end cap was a bit loose so i wrapped so tape around it so it fit nicely. The space behind my printer is a bit limited so to change spools i remove the tubing for the printer attachment part, but you could glue this part to the tube if you have the room to just use the end cap and slide it off. I have included the solidworks files if you need to change any dimensions
