My new foot at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1367244 works a lot better than this This is an updated version of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:659940 After 3 weeks of use, I found that the front support had compressed by about 5mm and the rear by about 10mm and also deformed sideways slightly due to the weight of the spools and PSU. These modified feet are to take that into account. I've extended the inners of the upper and lower foot parts and changed the recommended length for the rear tubes. The cutting guide is now 50 / 55mm. This is designed for a Wanhao Duplicator 4, but will work for any printer with a similar 5mm plate construction. This uses pipe insulation foam tubes (noodles) with OD of 50mm (2") and ID 25mm (1"). I found it difficult to cut across exactly square so designed the cutting guide. The best cutter I found was a sharp carving knife, using a light slicing action. Using the guide, cut 2 x 50mm and 2 x 55mm sections. Print 4 of each part and fit them together as per the photo. Add a disc of felt or grippy rubber to the bottom of each foot and then place the 50mm dampers at the front of the printer and 55mm to the rear. The printer will sit on the back more than the front initially, but will soon equalise. If you're doing this as an upgrade for my original dampers, just make up new back ones as the fronts are fine.
