I've been having a lot of trouble getting the bowden cable to work on my Mini Mendel Huxley, so I thought I'd try to make a carriage-mounted extruder. It's untested, but I think the mini mendel can handle it, if your x motor isn't too low-torque. My oversized Mini Mendel Huxley has plenty of room for it, but even the regular one should have at least enough height left to make all of the mendel parts. I'm also working on a better way to attach a bowden cable, so it will be easy to add one to regain the height if necessary.Unfortunately, it doesn't do me much good, because I still can't print it (chicken and egg problem, again). The scad file imports and modifies the makerbot extruder block. You will need this file in order to modify it.The second STL includes all the necessary parts. It has Nophead's idler block, but not his gear. There's something screwy about the STL for the gear that crashes OpenSCAD, so I couldn't get it to export, and had to use the other one. Printing the full set at once requires a 100x113mm build platform.
