This is a wall mountable and VESA compatible wall mount for the Apple iPad and iPad 3G.I'd LOVE to see your versions. I have cut the Walet out of bamboo (Plyboo), birch plywood, and Corian already and it looks beautiful in all kinds of materials. I think an acrylic one would be really cool.FRONT: Cut the front face-down using a CNC machine using 3/4" material. The pocket should be cut .606 deep. We use a 1/4" compression bit for the nicest finish on Plyboo. Sand exterior surfaces and headphone access port.BACK: Cut the back face-down using a CNC machine using 1/2" thick material. The holes should be drilled at the appropriate diameter for your M4 screw inserts. These holes are spaced for 75mm x 75mm VESA compatibility. If you can generate a keyhole toolpath, use the outer circles as your plunge start. I suggest allowing for a 1/8" wall at a minimum if you are using a wood/grass material. Sand interior side.Edit: insert iPad so that the squircle button is on the right... ;-)FOAM INSERT: Cut out your foam insert using some kind of self adhesive foam. We use laser cutter but you could easily one-off this part with some scissors and a utility knife. Note: we apply masking material to the foam prior to cutting and remove it after the final finishing step.ASSEMBLY:If you cut the keyholes print the attached mounting template on 8.5 x 11" paper to make things a little easier.More photos and information available at http://www.waletmount.com
