V2 is stronger and offset to fit the belt path better. I found that the belt chewed through the original version. I also ended up not even using the backing plate on V2.A rework of this tensioner http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:554719 by thinkyhead made to fit the Geeetech i3. The Geeetech has no real adjusting possibilities. I made the tensioner shorter and wider, and made the backing plate with end tabs and protrusions to keep it in place on the axis mount. It reuses the ball bearings, and screws and nut, but requires an additional nylock nut, and square nut which are not used in the stock configuration.Put the backing plate on the original long screw, using a new m3 nylock nut. Leave the nut just loose enough so the screw will turn in the plate. The nylock nut's purpose it to just hold the screw in position. You will need to put a new m3 square nut in the tensioner, and it requires a fair bit of force to seat it low enough.
