I've designed a custom spool holder with a few extra components to allow you to store filament inside of the Da Vinci enclosure. This keeps everything nice, clean, and organized. Although the spool holder looks typical, I designed it to "lock" into the slots on either side of the Da Vinci. This keeps the spool from moving. UPDATE: Added new versions of corner hoop and distributor. These new models "snap" into place so that very little glue is required (much better reliability) ANOTHER UPDATE: The distributor part still failed after 10 hours of printing, so I have uploaded a Version3. Print this along with Distributor_nut. The nut will twist onto the bottom of the distributor to lock it into place. AND ANOTHER UPDATE: Check out the various remixes before printing. The community has come up with clever solutions to a few of the problems with the design.Print the spool holder frame (Support recommended) & one set of bushings. You may need to scale the straight bushings to better fit your spool width. Assemble with (2) colored/round pencils. Tabbed frame fits into slots on right or left side of Da Vinci. Print the Corner Bracket & Hoop, glue together with high temp hot glue. Press into rear square corner of davinci. Print Filament Distributor. Hot glue into the hole directly above the Z axis screw. Lots of hot glue is needed here... Finally, thread filament UNDER the spool holder, through corner hoop, and finally through the distributor.
