This is a model of a damper/coupler/insert which is used in a kid’s ride on toy. This part connects the rear wheel to the drive motor. This particular one is for a john deere tractor. The rubber damper will break apart over time. I’m pretty sure a new one can be bought online for $20 plus shipping, but printing one right in front of your kids eyes beats it. Years ago – before I had a 3D printer in my disposal – I cut this from ½” plywood, and it worked for 2-3 seasons, but later the plywood disintegrated. So I decided to model/print one. I’ve used ABS plastic, and I can assemble it without any filing/tweaking. print from ABS or use ninjaflex if you have some in your disposal. I've used 0.25 mm layer height and 90% infill. One of these is enough per wheel, I printed two, one for either side.
