so. this is my first attempt at making a 3d object in any program. figured i would try sketchup as its seems widely regarded as the easiest to use. i wanted to have something to print when my printer arrives this week that i had designed myself, not sure why. but as i don't have the printer yet i cant do a test print, if anyone wants to take a gamble please let me know the results. seeing as im a special effects student at UAL i run a tumblr where ill be posting everything i print and design, along with everything i make in general thelontin.tumblr.com UPDATE - its been a long time, but i edited this to a point where i could print it a while back, the reason its been un-updated for such a long time is that i tried printing it and the design i have uses such small tolerances in the hinges that it renders it unprintable. good luck to everyone though. i have my last day of my auto cad course this weekend, so look forward to lots more models in the future :)tried to print it, did not work, could just be my printer but it seems the gaps for the hinges are far too small. maybe your printer will work better or if you have access to something other than a FDM machine, good luck
