The "baskets" on my Bass Pro Shops hiking poles (many years old) discintigrated when I used them recently; they just broke into pieces. So... as usual, I turned to my 3D printer. For these, I used PCTPE filament; a perfect material — flexible, but reasonably stiff. As recommended on the site where I got the filament, I printed on a glass plate coated with PVA. I was having issues with it sticking to the print plate when heated to the recommended 45C; when I upped it to 70C, it bonded much better to the print plate (and I had more PVA). Fortunately, the one that did curl remained stuck well enough - at the center - for the print to complete, and the curl is actually totally ok for this part; it winds up being curved towards the ground vs. being flat.
