These are simple bolt-tightened links that can be used to mount all kinds of things. The picture shows a 5 being used to attach a webcam to my PrintrBot, but they could be used to position a microphone, light, or pretty much anything else. You can tighten the bolts to lock them in position, or loosen them a little to make an adjustable armature. If you need more range of motion, just add more links. The included STLs and Customizer defaults are set to work with U.S. 1/4-20x3/4" bolts to connect links together and U.S. #8 screws (machine or wood) for mounting links to objects. (For the weird-shaped webcam shown in the pics, though, I just used a bit of gaffer tape...)Print as-is or customize as needed. Link together with appropriate bolts/nuts, and tighten as desired. Attach to endpoints using the horizontal or vertical plate options plus screws, zipties, tape, or whatever. I used hex bolts since I don't need to adjust mine much, but if you indent to make frequent adjustments, use wing nuts and wing bolts, or print one of the many nut capture models on Thingiverse to make your fasteners hand-adjustable. The pre-fab STLs and default Customizer settings are suitable for 1/4-20 bolts, 3/4" long for connecting links, and #8 screws for mounting to stuff.
