At family meetings, my sister regularly regales us with stories about her life as a vet in rural germany: e.g. How just the other day she delivered an immense calf from a very small cow, via cesarian on a stormy and rainy night, high up in the lonely hills, with nothing but the help of a hunchbacked one-eyed, one-legged and one-armed local farmer, her quick wits and a wooden spoon (I may be exaggerating a bit, (and don't ask what she used the spoon for)). However, just recently she moved on from saving animals to also saving human beings (i.e. someone had a heart attack right in front of her car). That made me decide to offer her a statue as a fitting 'hommage' to her profession. As marble blocks 40 ft. tall are difficult to come by where I live, I decided to print a smaller size replica of what I had in mind. I suppose I should include some motto on the pedestal (my sister proposed :'Warning: I also brake for humans'), but did't find quite the right thing yet. Many thanks to 'Makehuman' and 'Blender' for the modeling packages, otherwise the task would have been a LOT more difficult. Have fun with the model.
