I found the process of putting together my first 3D printer without access to a workshop or another 3D printer rather straightforward, except when it came to hobbing the bolt for wade's extruder.. So I thought this might be worth sharingYou can easily put together a basic hobbing jig using just hot glue, bbq skewers and a cooking pot (or any solid surface :)Assemble the bearings and the bolt. Glue the bearings onto the surface and add more layers of glue as the glue sets. Push the bbq skewers into the glue for some support. As soon as the glue cooled down you can start hobbing with a hand drill and a tap. The bearings are easily recovered by tearing the thing apart again.
