Have you noted that the joining part of the adapter and the cable have a kink inside? That is because the negative shielding has worn off. (See my photo attached!) Thus, will create lots of electrical stress onto the adapter and one day you will hear the "POP" sound. If your MagSafe is still working and wish to prolong the life span before googling "How to fix MagSafe adapter". This is my second version. An addition to the first one I made. I have done some improvement to be easily attached with two cable ties and using double side adhesive for the base. If you guy keen in drawing the 3d. Please scale 1.02 as the fitting will be too tight with original size. Adjust according because i've found that my 85W and 60W adapters are different in cable thickness. I have attached photos to explain on the installation of the cable saver. PLA might be too brittle ... btw, the thru hole on the flank is a 4mm dia and you can use a Cable tie to tighten the grip.
