With the default settings in Process1 for a Replicator 2
Simplify3d Creator 1.1.5 produced ugly parts on my Replicator 2
suffering from massive overextrusion. Automatic calculation
for extrusion width in the tab Extruder Settings
created very dubious values. After printing a bunch of calibration cubes at
a fixed Extrusion width of 0,40 mm with a matching
Extrusion Multiplier derived from the test cubes
my Replicator 2 produced beautiful prints. Destringing has been optimized with
Wingcommanders Deprime test part.
Retraction values of around 0,3 mm
already provide effective destringing.
Higher values lead to holes in the
outer surface. The calibration is for a Replicator 2 with Sailfish firmware 7.4
ABS calibration parts were printed at 235 degrees C.
PLA calibration parts were printed at 215 degrees C.
Nylon calibration parts were printed at 235 degrees C.
Filament diameter measured 1,75 mm during calibration.
