So since I am a high school Industrial Arts teacher, I definitely understand the need for organization so I designed this with my students in mind. The "School Tool Box" is an all in one tool. The sides are created to hold pencils, the ends hold the pencil toppers firmly in place, and the handle is created by the ruler. The remaining space is designed to hold whatever the student may need for class which could be erasers, glue, drill bits, small screw drivers, small scissors, and everything in between. The "School Tool Box" is also small enough to fit in student's lockers so they can store it safely each day. The pencil topper is a two piece design that fits into the ends of the tool box and then snaps together to fit on top of a standard No. 2 pencil. On one side of the pencil topper is Ohm's Law, which is a common equation used in my classes. I intend to create other toppers so that students can switch them out depending on what they are learning. Finally, the ruler/handle is a normal metric ruler that measures up to 16cm. Students can also use the as a straight edge for small drafting assignments. UPDATE: I have added a new ruler option that is in inches and 1/2 inches. It also has a hole at the end that can be used by drafting students to draw a perfectly sized circle for drafting symbols such as diameter. The hole can also be used to hang the ruler on a nail if it is not being used as a handle for the tool box. I have also added three new pencil topper options that include Pythagorean theorem, slope, and my #1 classroom rule which is USE COMMON SENSE. These toppers all fit in smoothly with the PencilTopper_OhmsLaw_Otherside.stl file. I'm sure my colleagues will be wanting more topper options in the future so expect more to come. Enjoy! This is a 3 part print: I printed all parts (except for the ruler) at 10% fill to make the tools both lightweight and to conserve plastic. However, doing this resulted in quite a bit of clean up after the print was finished so I would recommend printing the parts off at at least 25% fill. The ruler was printed at 25% fill.
