I made this because I don't really like the spool holders that hold the spool sideways or on the side of the machine, they seem to have a lot of friction. This was the simplest way i could think of making a spool holder above my machine that has the least amount of friction possible.. i know there are a zillion other spool holders on thingiverse but thought i would share my idea. This cost: $2.66 for a 1 meter length of 20mm PVC pipe $1.99 x 2 for the right angle joiners I have uploaded the Sketchup model if you want to tweak the base size, etcPretty simple to make, just print two of the pipe mounts, measure and cut the PVC pipe and plug it all together.
