Scanned with the MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner So - one of the areas i really wanted to pursue with the Digitizer was to repeatedly scan, print the scan, scan again and repeat ad infinitum - to see what would / will happen to the fidelity of the scan, and how that is expressed in the printed object. A feedback loop if you will - remember when you xeroxed the xerox repeatedly until white noise was all that remained - well - that's the plan. First test subject is the Stanford Bunny. Unfortunately i could not get a "real" copy of it [haha - real copy - that's a good one ;) ] so i'm using Makerbot's version that they scanned. I also plan to repeat this experiment with other objects - so stay tuned for progress reports, animated gifs and Andy Warhol like sequential art pieces.
