This is a chess pawn for an underwater themed chess set. I thought it would be funny to have 8 tentacles as the pawns. The other pieces are yet to be modeled and should, in my opinion be a conch shell as tower, a seahorse as knight, a lobster as bishop, the tail of a whale as queen and an oyster with a pear as king.I WOULD LIKE YOU ALL TO HELP MODEL THESE, if you like the idea! Pleas join! Pick one and start modeling! I made this in maya by using the soft modification tool on a cone shape and then putting adjusted torus shapes on it. It was printed with a layer height of 0.2 in about 50 minutes for a 6,8 mm high model. I modeled it so it can be printed without support.
