This ball launcher uses the principles of magnetism and conservation of momentum to accelerate ball bearings along the rails and eject the final ball with substantially increased velocity.Video and all my other work can be found on my blog msraynsford.co.ukThis version has 2 sets of rails for operation at any angle. It also features a small magnet at the back to hold the first ball bearing up at those angles. It's a bit difficult to launch and I failed to cut the third stage but the two stage version is functional and provides significantly improved velocity over the first gauss gun.You will require 6mm and 12mm x3mm magnets for this version, the magnets are sandwiched between the 3 layers of the bracket, holding them firmly in place without any glue. A small 1mm magnet holds the first ball bearing back.
