Renovating our bathroom. When we attempted to install the new bathroom overflow drain assembly into the pipe, the linkage broke! For whatever reason (profit margins), American Standard opted to use a flimsy piece of plastic to assemble the linkage for the drain control. While they are shipping a replacement part, it will take 5-7 days to arrive, not including holidays like Christmas next week! Like anyone else with a 3D printer, I opted to make my own! This is a replacement part for American Standard Universal Brass Bath Drain - Model number 1583.470.295 (though I believe it will work with any model 1583.47#.###)Here's how I printed, though results may vary: Rotate on the X axis (loop will be parallel to bed, rounded side face up). Print settings (ReplicatorG) Infill - 100% Raft - Yes Support - Exterior Support Layer Height - 0.2 Shells - 1 Feedrate - 25 Travel - 30 Used ABS for this application since this will sit in a the brass overflow plumbing of my main bathtub.
