My boy scored a nice shot today, and when I sat back down, I went falling through the back of my folding travel chair. I can't imagine anyone would be able to sell me the part to fix it, so turned to OpenSCAD and made my own. So far it seems to work fine. I'll take it to the game next week and we'll see how it holds up. :) If you have a folding travel chair that uses this type of bracket to hold the back support in place, then this parametric part might be just what you need to save it from the city dump. Ours are Greatland brand "Captain's Chair" that we picked up from Walmart maybe 7-8 years ago, and that's what the STL fits. But this is parametric, so you tweak the sizes if you want to fit other chairs that mount the same way... or use it for some other creative purpose. 1) Modify the 10 parameters if necessary to suit your needs. The STL is for the specific chair mentioned above, but it's pretty flexible. 2) Print it. 3) Remove the broken one, and sew this one on with upholstery thread. 4) Sit back and enjoy the game.
