This design is for my Krups espresso machine. The clamp is for holding the espresso filter cup while cleaning out the fine coffee grain that clogs the holes. I use a highpressure waterjet, and for safety reasons, you normally dont want to hold it with your fingers. Screw the clamp and filter onto a plank, wear a raincoat and go outside for some water splashing!
