Yeah, I know, bit late for Christmas, but at least you'll be able to get ahead for next year :) This uses OpenSCAD's Write.scad and CountSpatula's hat_fringe.stl to make a wonderful personalized Xmas pressie! Many thanks to Skimbal and CountSpatula for the Christmas Giant Lego Minifig designs and also Wifibum's Parametric Christmas Scene Ornament which helped me immensely in OpenSCAD learning!You will need Write.scad: thingiverse.com/thing:16193 Put all these necessary files in a folder - Change the desired name in the top of my scad file to suit. Default font is used. You can also change the letter spacing and also the location angle around the hat. I've set up the letter spacing to print well on an UP! printer.
