I recently discovered the AWESOMENESS of shooting in RAW with my 5D Mark 2, thanks to the wonderful guys at http://www.magiclantern.fm/! While doing tests building my personal RAW post workflow, I found myself with the need to sync sound to the RAW footage. Many of my tests were handheld shots with a Tascam DR-100 on a hotshoe ball mount, so I needed a solution that I could operate with one hand. Of course I could use an App on my phone and get all my slate data in one go, but where's the fun in that? =)Print Settings for Upper and Lower portions: Print Settings for 5x10mm Pin: After printing, I bored out the pin holes on the "TOP" piece so that the 5x10mm retention pin fit snug. It's perfect if you have to tap it in lightly to install and remove. Enjoy! (Personal design note: The retention pin design saves from having to use an M3 bolt every time something needs to be fastened. Will try to use this technique as much as possible in the future! )
