Yet another one of these things to hold one end of the Y-axis belt for Prusa Mendel. It is designed to have a low profile and does not bend the belt.Print the base part, and the slider either for T5 or T2.5. I have only tested the T2.5 live, but it is probably the most challenging. As it's name implies the slider should slide freely within the base. It can be sanded to fit. Pass a 20mm M3 bolt through the hole in the end of the base, and screw a nut on it. It's a little fiddly, but easy enough. Only screw the bolt in the width of the nut, and then pull it back until the nut is in the nut trap. Then bolt the base in place at the end of the lower plate. Pass the belt through it, and lay it in the slider. Make sure the dimple in the slider is facing the bolt, because it has extra plastic to take the pressure. Draw the slider back into the base as far as it goes and attach the other end of the belt with the usual components, pulling it snug tight around the idler and drive gear. The photos should show the sequence (except that it is not bolted down during assembly). Further tension can be achieved by tightening the bolt. A hex head bolt is best because you can use a ball drive and get a little off centre, out from under the belt.
