In a quest to instantiate an analog of Pete Prodoehl's super cool instantiated analog of Wayne Gillis' Interociter laser light show, I needed some motor mounts for the canon DC motors I picked up at Halted Electronics. YOU, however, could be making a wheel-based robot and you just need a way to bolt your motor onto something. Hopefully this is a helpful thing for you. I've included the inventor fusion file (".f3d")Pete's project page: http://rasterweb.net/raster/2012/09/26/laser-kaleidoscope/Mike Gould and Wayne Gillis on the Henry Ford blog: http://blog.thehenryford.org/2012/10/maker-faire-detroit-spotlight-mike-gould/Make sure your motor is 1" in diameter, print this thing out, stick the motor in, and then use either a 3mm nut and bolt or a zip tie to cinch the top tines closer so as to create a friction fit to hold the motor in place.
