A handy case with a detachable probe to house your Geiger Counter kits. I designed it to fit the DIYGeigerCounter v.4.1 board (https://sites.google.com/site/diygeigercounter/). I've included a version without standoffs for those of you who wish to fit a different kit.[Revision] The Handle grooves have been removed. Otherwise, it would of been impossible to print.[Revision] Probe holder design changed. The probe now slides into the holder vertically. This change minimizes the effects on the holder from warping.Bill of Materials:All printed parts.Geiger Tube. Mine uses a SBM-20 which I ordered on EBay from rus-market. http://www.ebay.com/itm/290816688897?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649Geiger Kit. I ordered the GK-B4 board and LCD screen from DIYGeigerCouter. https://sites.google.com/site/diygeigercounter/buy-the-kit-1Coiled Cable to attached the probe to the main body. Preferably you want a cable with thick insulation rated for a minimum of 900V but I find that coiled audio cable works good enough.1 X Momentary Push Switch and 1 X Slide Switch. Size is not very important as long as it looks reasonable.Battery Holder. Either a single D cell holder or a 3 AA cell holder. WARNING - Ensure to set the voltage regulator jumper on the Geiger Board as per kit instructions. Hook Up Wire (18-22AWG).Print out all the files with support. If you have the DIYGeigerCounter kit use the (Geiger Main Body.stl). Otherwise, print the (No Standoff's) version and figure out a way to mount your kit.Attach the Push Switch, LED, Speaker, and Slide Switch to the Cover Plate using glue. You may have to do some modifications to the hole diameters depending on what your using.Solder Hook Up Wire from all components on the Cover Plate to the Geiger Board. Then attached the coiled cable to the HV terminals.Solder the two Coiled Cable leads to the Geiger Tube holders then melt the Tube Holder Pins into the probe base using a soldering iron. Glue the Battery Holder to the Battery Cover and then attached the leads to the Power Terminals.
