This design is obsolete. I have a new updated version here: http://www.tmophoto.com/shop/shark-slider-motor-brackets-stl/ This is a bracket and a few pulleys that you can use to motorize your ifootage shark slider http://goo.gl/ACu7xH (amazon link for slider) You will need a 50 tooth belt that costs about 6 bucks on amazon, I got a few of these : Gates 100XL037 PowerGrip Timing Belt, Extra Light, 1/5" Pitch, 3/8" Width, 50 Teeth, 10" Pitch Length. http://goo.gl/yhDjOv (amazon link) One stepper motor or a DC motor. To make this work with a stepper motor I recommend the Emotimo TB3 controller with wireless remote for full control and repeatable moves. http://www.emotimo.com For a basic system you could order a Dynamic Perception DC motor, add in a potentiometer in line to the power source and it will move fast or slow. http://www.dynamicperception.com/EZ-Swap-DC-Motor-p/dp-dcm.htm Third option is to dig into your junk drawer from three years ago and grab one of the original makerbot Kysan DC motors. These were used in the first few versions of makerbot cupcakes. A battery to power it all the Anker astro 20k mah is a pretty nice one. http://goo.gl/HLwKZe (amazon link)Print out all the parts and use the hardware that comes with the slider to put it all on. You will need 2 M3 screws and nuts for the drive gear set screws 4 screws and washers for the motor mount.
