Spent most of 2012 assembling a 3d printer from salvaged printer and PC bits. Successfully printed 3 objects during December 2012 and have since been brushing up software skills.The .stl files were imported into Blender and combined. I also rendered the image shown above. The .stl file for the Thinker comes from lampmaker on Thingiverse who got the file from MIT CSAIL database and the file for the Fountain is from robmyers on Thingiverse who commissioned it from dustycloud.org.Untested .stl files, as in I have not yet analysed them for unholiness and the resultiing Gcode files have not been built on a 3d printer as of 26thJan2013.Replaced the .stl file with one that has some content on Sunday Jan 27th. Updates in the next two weeks when I have had a go at printing the file.6th March 2013 Printout complete but having difficulty cooling the extruded filament quickly enough for it not to droop with my printer. The stl file has been redone so that now the Thinker is sat in the Fountain and this prints okay , except for the tubes at either end,with an overall length of 10cm, see pic. Netffab-basic was used to check and repair the .stl file.
