Keep in mind that this is a bulky first version that will limit your print area a small bit if you have levelling screws that sticks up from the heat bed. I will do a better streamlined version soon that don't limit the print area so much. It where uploaded here because a fellow reprapper wanted it as fast as possible before I where done with it. [-------------------------------------------------------------------] Some things to think about !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure the nozzle is lifted a couple of mm before you auto home,if not so could you get the attachement to hit yoyr beds levelling screw, and that will make your y axis try to home but it cant because the attachement stops it from it.. When it starts so is it no danger as the nozzle usually is lifted a small bit before it starts. [-------------------------------------------------------------------] When you assemble...... start by attaching the 2 middle pieces with the part the fan is to mounted on. use 2 45-50 mm long m3 screws to attach the shield to the already assembled section. this will also make the 2 middle sections lock on tight to each other. now attach it all to the 2 bottom screws of the extruder with 2 m3 screws that is about 35 mm long. They have some extra length compared to the original screws. in some cases will you nead to use small washers or nut between the motor and the attachment because some motors have a small bevelling where the screws are. Make sure you level its height according to the nozzle before you tighten the screws. have it a couple of mm above the nozzles height. now attach the 40mm fan and you are done. [-------------------------------------------------------------------] 2014 09 02 updated with a more slimmer version now with 2 sides you attach together. use a glue gun to get it tight in the seams. I made it for personal use but uploaded it here if anyone else neads it.
