This is a test plate to test a 3d printed Oogoo bonding mesh. Oogoo cannot be glued to most plastics, so it is necessary to create a mechanical bond. The oogoo is applied into the mesh just after mixing with a spreader. After it cures, it is locked in place by the mesh. Bonding strength appears to be between 25psi to 50psi, but 100psi should be possible by adjusting mesh characteristics and oogoo mixture. The openSCAD custom mesh generator was created by Laird Popkin. The number of layers can be varied, the diameter of the tubes can be varied, the number of tubes per inch can be varied and the dimensions of length&width of the plate can be customized using the software.
