I like the smoothness of motion of the flexi-hinges. However I find that fixed hinges can be tweaked to the right tension easier, and have a more positive feeling movement. With this model I hot-glued the stump to the socket, which was a common failure point after about a week of usage, leading to the snap-in design I did later.
