This thing allows you to extend the z-axis height, especially if you're using my cable chain copplers: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:514734
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:514728 in conjuction with eddiema's open cable chain: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:40918 However you will need to drill a new hole for one of the screws in the large upright piece of wood.Print in as rigid of a filament as possible for optimum results, with ~25% infill for extra rigidity. Then remove the existing wooden top plate by loosening the two screws that hold the plate itself in place as well as the two top screws in the long wood strip. Now slide the pins into place, push the smooth rods into the holes and reattach the rear screw.
Mark the position of the hole needed for the front screw and use a 3-3.2mm drill. Finally, enjoy your extra build height, a whole 4cm in my case.
