extension cord spoolI have many of these short, inexpensive 2-wire extension cords, from 6 to 15 feet long. Photo shows the taller, 4 inch diameter spool comfortably holding a 15 foot (4.5 meters) cord. Sections are heavy at around 1/8 inch (3+ mm) thick, because mine will probably be treated roughly, out in the garage. The larger print took 110 minutes, used 87 grams ABS, using Afinia's defaults, except for selecting 0.40 layers to reduce print time. (The cord_spool_small.stl version holds about 8 feet of cord. ...80 min, 60 grams) About half of the ABS of either version is wasted on raft and support. Afinia software says one might reduce that waste by half if it's printed on edge, but I haven't tried it, and probably won't. I prefer the horizontal layer orientation. Note. These files are SAE / Imperial. As I understand things, after importing these STLs to some print software, they will appear very tiny. To size them properly for such metric printer software, scale up by a factor of 25.4.
