Found some lenses on amazon and decided to buy them to see if they would work to create a VR Cardboard goggles. Just a frame I modeled really quick that allows me to adjust the spacing between the eyes and the distance away from the phone to test out if its possible for me to make a pair of goggles. Pain in the butt to calibrate something like this but its something small that prints in 30 some minutes and in the end is just a throw away type of thing. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EPQ9EVQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The only issue with these lenses is that they don't come in exactly at 38mm. The 3 I got are completely different sizes ranging between 39 and 41. Besides the issues with the size, they do work well when I watched a show on my phone for a few minutes using an app called Cinema VR. Now the next step I want to design a decent pair of goggles, something Google Cardboard-ish but perhaps with the diopter from OSVR, since their design works better for peeps with glasses. Also need it to be able to handle various phone sizes. One additional thing i want to include is a way to run wires in it for the headphone jack and possibly a OTG cable so I can hook up a mouse + keyboard while I have the goggles on. Freecad source included, You'll need em if you buy these lenses.
