I decided to give my printer a new look and try new alternatives for the noisy LM8UU. Y carriages and X carriage are design for the Nylon bushings, if you try to use regular lm8uu bearings the housings need to be modified to accommodate for size (I can supply an IGS file if you want to adapt it for them). I have print several parts with the new setting and things are quiet and really smooth. X carriage was modified after I put in in the printer to protect the GT2 belt.Use the *.x3g files to print them or use the STL file and print them with your setting, but be careful of speed. Nylon bushings need to be printed in corkscrew settings, all other parts between 20 and 30% infill with 3 perimeters, 0.3 layer height and at least 40% support density. I use a 0.5 nozzle, so if you have different size then don't use the x3g file. Once everything printed, extract center cylinders in the X carriage (made for simple support removal). clean everything and test the bushings in your rods. If the bushings are little tight, boil them in water for few seconds but they all should be smooth with minimum play. Put one bushing in each hole of the carriages and then secure them in place with their corresponding adapter. The adapters have some holes for easy extraction if you need to replace a worn bushing, just screw a M3 screw and pull out.
