Customizable dial indicator mount for the front of a stepstruderThe customizer defaults (and the .stl file) work with a Tekton brand dial indicator for sure, and I'm willing to bet most others too. Print. Wait for printer to cool. Remove the fan, heatsink, and spacers from the front of your stepstruder and bolt the indicator mount where they once were. Clamp your dial indicator in place using an M3 nut and bolt. Lower your z axis until the indicator tip makes contact with your build platform. If your bot is sufficiently cool, turn it on, jog the platform around and see if it's level. (If it's not cool your fan is probably going to come on and cause some mayhem depending on where you placed it.) When you are done, reassemble your stepstruder and recalibrate.
