I like the ability that Simplify3D allows a model of the printer to be added as a reference when laying out a print bed. I use a LulzBot Mini and Simplify3D doesn't come with a model for the Mini by default so I made my own! I assembled the model from STL's and drawings retrieved from http://devel.lulzbot.com/Place the STL into the ..AppData->Local->Simplify3D->S3D-Software folder (in Windows). Then, with S3D open and your LulzBot Mini process selected go to Tools->Options (on Windows) and then select the 'Machine' tab. In the 'Printer Models' section, click on the 'Add' button and browse for the STL that you just placed. Once you press OK, the model should appear!
