Beam Nuts Bolts and Washers for decoration of overhead beams You know those giant nuts and bolts you see on the beams that are in your favorite Restrauant or Pub? Well, you too can have that massive looking hardware on your beams to make them look rustic and stout. Just print these and stick them to your beams with the appropriate glue.Make these things as light as possible. And, if they are rough in texture ... all the better! I made these at a .2mm layer height and a 4% hexagon fill. They are great for decoration. I was applying them to painted steel webbing on top of my massive wooden beams so I used black silicon seal as an adhesive. You can glue them to the beams with any glue you like. These also were painted with Rustoleum hammered bronze paint so they look like metal. Drawn in DesignCad 3d Max V25 and exported as a .stl file. Yes! DesignCad will finally draw stuff (very accurately) for the MakerBot!
