Most of 3D printed prosthetic hand allow just one movement : Grasping. Using the previous work of Lukas Gratwohl, who did a mechanical 3d printed prosthetic hand, this version now allows a switch between grasping and pinching, both movement we use daily. The same prosthetic can be used to hold a bottle of water or a key : We move forward into the improvement of cheap, efficient and 3d printed prosthetic hand. None of this would have been possible without the help of the CVAP department of KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and my tutor in this department, Christian Smith. The tendons are made of fishing line 0.50mm for the outer part, and of elastic O-ring 0.6mm inner diameter for the outer part Fingers are fixed together using screws Ø3mm Others parts are fixed with Ø4mm screws You can use any type of blokers to block the fishing line Use Velcro® to tight the prosthetic to the hand and wrist Use a long and fine screw to assemble the switch part
