My dog (Oscar) decided to eat my aviation headsets. In particular he nibbled the microphones. Most of the innards are OK, so what I needed were new plastic mouldings to house a small PC board and the condenser microphone. Only complete microphones are now available (retailing anywhere from $55 to $85 per unit), hence my being keen to find a self help solution. Your wiring and connectors may be different to you may need to re-model how the wiring interacts with the mic. You can see one half of the old black microphone in the pictures. I printed this in PLA and it works well. Suggest you use the V2 file. Wishing you VFR weather! I modelled the solution in Tinkercad and then printed a series of prototypes until the electronics fitted OK inside the print. Place mic and PCB in print, then test the headset. Use super glue to glue the top on. Please treat this item as being a 'work in progress'.
