This holds all of the components (except power source) to keep your Single-band Stratux ADS-B nice and organized. Now includes provisions for GPS/AHRS component! Dual band case is here!Print one of each half of the case. Case was modeled in inches, so you will need to scale mm to inches. Dimensions are 6.25" x 3.5" x 1.5". I recommend printing in PLA. Infill used on my prototypes was 17% with 2 shells. Low or medium resolution is fine for the lower case. Medium or more is recommend for the upper case, as well as support structure. This will require 2 to 4 of the screws (same size as mentioned below for the R Pi. GPS chip needs mounted with the GPS antenna (largest white square) facing the sky, that is, the inside of the upper case. Wiring is DIY at this point as I have not integrated this component into my build yet. See the picture up top for suggested orientation. For the RTL-SDR antenna, place its base in the circular "corral" on the lower case. Route the antenna wire to coil in on itself between the Rasperry Pi standoffs. Make sure it stays in a single layer so as not to touch the Pi's PCB. Leave about 4" exposed towards the non-antenna side of the case. This will connect to the radio dongle's antenna input. You will need a short (6"-8") USB A male to A female extension to connect the radio dongle to the Raspberry Pi. I used this but the exact model isn't important. Attach it to the Pi before you mount it to the lower case. You will also need at least one screw to hold the Pi to the case's standoffs. As long as the screw fits through the Pi's mounting hole and is shorter than the case's standoff, it should be fine. I used a spare from my computer parts kit. Carefully snap the radio dongle into its mount and attach the USB extension. Note: The case does not house a power pack. Adhesive-backed Velcro nicely attaches your choice of power pack to the case.
